Description
Minoxidil is a vasodilator that promotes hair growth through mechanisms including prolongation of anagen phase and stimulation of hair follicles. It is used off-label for various forms of hypotrichosis including hypotrichosis simplex. Topical application has demonstrated efficacy in hereditary hair loss conditions.
